Event Description:
2017 Inaugural Meeting of WCTT Hosts Dawn Jiosi The Woman's Club of Tewksbury Township will host Dawn Jiosi at its 2017 inaugural meeting on Tuesday, January 10, in the Oldwick Manor, behind the Oldwick Firehouse, 163 Oldwick Road, Oldwick, NJ. Coffee will be served at 9 AM followed by the meeting and the program. Tewksbury resident and club member Dawn Jiosi will address the group about the process of "healing after a life altering loss". After 10 years of marriage to the love of her life and the father of her two young children, Dawn experienced the tragic death of her husband. Following a period of devastation she knew she had to be positive for the sake of her children and her own well-being. Through a process of spiritual practices, self-help books and joining other women in her situation she realized that she was "healing" and what a difficult journey it was. As a result she founded "A New Dawn" for women to talk about their feelings and experiences. Many women find themselves alone, in circumstances beyond their control. Jiosi will expound on her mantra: "Together we will share, together we will heal and together we will love." As an added feature, Tyler Cashman will discuss "Points for Pain", an organization he founded to raise money for children suffering from chronic pain. A young student at the Old Turnpike Middle School, Tyler's group is part of the US Pain Foundation - Pediatric Pain Warriors Program, allowing children living with pain to attend a 2 week summer camp, the Center for Courageous Kids, in Kentucky. Guests are welcome to make reservations at 908-509-1855 to attend this compelling meeting. WCTT is open to residents of Tewksbury and the surrounding area. Visit tewksburywomansclub.org for details.
