Event Description:
Carol Hontz Guest Speaker at WCTT Meeting Tuesday, Nov. 7 On Tuesday, November 7, WCTT club member Carol Ann Hontz will be the guest speaker at the Woman's Club of Tewksbury Township meeting at the Oldwick Manor, behind the firehouse in Oldwick, 08858. Coffee will be served at 9 AM providing an opportunity to mingle with members. Anne Diamente, Club President, will begin the meeting promptly at 9:30, followed by the program. Guests are welcome. Hontz, WCTT International Affairs Chair, is a resident of Gladstone and an international author, lecturer and teacher. She teaches at the Montessori schools she founded in Budapest and Prague, where she also maintains homes. She will address two topics of interest to members and guests, "Days for Girls As it Relates to Human Trafficking" and "Aging". Trafficking of humans is against the law globally yet it is a highly profitable transport and sale of persons, including young girls, for the purpose of exploiting their labor and more. Carol will bring this problem to focus here in the US. How you feel about aging is personal. It depends on how you face all that life offers. Carol will demonstrate how to age in the present by living in the present. WCTT is a non-profit service club open to any woman 18 years of age or older, living in Tewksbury Township or the surrounding area. Membership includes participation in a state wide organization - the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs, a division of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs, which is an international organization "dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others". The NJ Federation 's mission is "Volunteers in Action - Making a Difference in the Lives of Others One Project at a Time!". For meeting reservations call 908-509-1855; for information about club activities visit: www.tewksburywomansclub.org
