August 14, 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Workshops Support Hunterdon County 2019 Job Fair FLEMINGTON – Attendance at upcoming workshops will grant participants early entry into the Hunterdon County 2019 Job Fair being conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The free job fair will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Hunterdon County Complex Assembly Room at 314 Route 12, Flemington. More than 20 area employers with job openings are scheduled to attend, along with informational tables from community resource organizations. The Hunterdon County 2019 Job Fair is being presented by the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board, which serves Hunterdon and Somerset counties; the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development; the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center; and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. “The upcoming workshops are designed to help jobseekers gain additional skills and knowledge in their search,” said GRWDB Interim Director Paul Grzella. “Tips and information shared in the workshops are applicable for those searching for a job or looking to enhance their future job prospects.” There is no charge to attend any of the following workshops: · Friday Aug. 30: Mastering the Art of Networking, with additional tips for attending job fairs, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 6 Gauntt Place, Flemington. · Thursday Sept. 5: Art of Effective Communication, 1 to 3 p.m., Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce’s historic Reading-Large House at 119 Main St., Flemington. · Thursday Sept. 19: Mastering the Interview, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce’s historic Reading-Large House at 119 Main St., Flemington. Workshop attendance will give participants a “golden ticket” that provides early entry into the job fair at 10 a.m. to beat the crowds and maximize time with hiring officials. In addition, people who attend a Jersey Job Club-affiliated career workshop in Somerville in the months of August or September that is not listed above are eligible to receive a golden ticket. Representatives from NORWESCAP Child and Family Resource Services, GoHunterdon, and the United Way of Hunterdon County are to be in attendance.
