Daniel James D.J. Wright Entrepreneur of the Year On Tuesday, March 30th, the Chamber held the Annual Hunterdon County Business Awards Breakfast at Copper Hill Country Club in Flemington. The air was filled with the spirit of entrepreneurship and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate all the 2023 winners. Starting things off, the Entrepreneur of the Year was awarded to Daniel James D.J. Wright. D.J. Wright has been an influential entrepreneur to Hunterdon County for years and years to come. D.J. is the owner of a very successful funeral home and cremation service. Boasting Five Stars on Yelp, Google Reviews, and Facebook Reviews… Wright & Ford focuses on traditional values, modern concepts, and golden rule service. Their mission is to provide families of Flemington and Hunterdon County with comprehensive, dignified, compassionate funeral services of the highest quality. With an eye to the future, and feet planted firmly in traditional values, they promise to treat your family exactly as they would like their family to be treated when facing a loss. Daniel James "D.J." Wright is a graduate of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, where he majored in psychology and double minored in philosophy and French. In 2002, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City, receiving the Faculty Award for exceptional proficiency in all academic and clinical areas of the curriculum. D.J. has held multiple leadership positions with the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association and the Tri-County Funeral Directors Association. Other than being the Entrepreneur of the Year, D.J. is an actively engaged resident of his local community. He has held leadership positions with more than a dozen organizations in Hunterdon County… some of these being: Board President of the Flemington Rotary Foundation, Board member, Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, and Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator for the Township of Raritan, Hunterdon County, NJ. D.J. is known as a man of honesty and integrity who genuinely cares for those he serves. D.J. views his role of funeral director as more of a ministry than a profession. Being in the field for 10 years now, D.J. is a master at his craft. Moreover, D.J. makes sure he helps those in need through service within multiple charitable foundations. D.J. has earned this award through hours of hard work and tenacity of being the best in his field. Upon being a spectacular person and member of his community, D.J. is a role model to all in the field of entrepreneurship. The business has been in operation for more than 150 years, and in the opinion of the public, hence the award, D.J. has put the Wright & Ford brand on a pedestal for other competitors to compare to… being the best through his supreme entrepreneurship.
