The Hunterdon County 2019 Job Fair is being conducted in the Hunterdon County Complex Assembly Room, at 314 Route 12, Raritan Township, and there is ample room for additional businesses to take part in this event being organized by several county and state entities. There is no cost to participate; employers must be recruiting jobseekers for one or more direct-hire positions, which can be full- or part-time. Employers interested in taking part in the job fair should contact Jessica Johannesen, the Hunterdon County state business representative, at Jessica.Johannesen@dol.nj.gov, by Aug. 16. The event is being presented by the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board, which serves Hunterdon and Somerset counties, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center. In June, these partners presented the Somerset County 2019 Job Fair, which attracted more than 230 jobseekers and 22 employers. The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce is also a promotional partner for the upcoming event. “Building on the successful June event which has resulted in people getting jobs, these partners are collaborating to create a robust event for the residents of Hunterdon County,” said Paul Grzella, interim director of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. “Our goal is to create a robust workforce system which provides employers of all size access to the highly qualified workforce in our region.” Prior to the event, a series of workshops for jobseekers will be conducted; attendance at these workshops will give participants early admission into the job fair, which will be open to the public at no charge.
